It's hard to believe that it has been over 3 months since we updated
this page. Things have gone very well for us during that period.
The top story is that K D
Amazin Spirit won the California Sires Stakes Championship on December 12th.
The photo on the right shows Spirit winning by a neck in the mud. What
a thrill for us. K D Nicol was not quite up to par that night and had to
settle for 5th. Here is a link to an article in
The Sacramento Bee
regarding the win.
Split the Bill had his first win in quite a
while last week. In fact he made the USTA news and was featured on the
program cover this week.

K D Shenanigans
turned out after hock problems. He is now once again at the track and
getting ready to train down.
K D Amazin Grace has been racing, but
has had a series of breaking problems especially after being involved in a
accident duing a race in January. She went all the way down
after the horse in front of her broke, but was able to jump back up without
spilling the driver (Keith) and come home with a purse check. After
two breaks in a row last month, she will have to re-qualify. We
brought her back to the farm for a weeks rest and are now getting ready to
re-qualify her next week.
Janet Parris made some very nice photos of the
Qualifiers at Cal Expo on Saturday, September 19th - click
here to take a look.
Farm News -
Our retired horses - K D Justice and Tia Lita have had
some health issues the past few ;months, but both seem to be have recovered
nicely. Justice with a sinus infection and Tia with colic.
Hopefully, they still have many good years ahead. The rest of the
brood mare band are doing just fine.
For more scenes around the farm, take a look at our Photo
Galleries Page which has photos from 2002 to the present.
