At 3, a winner of the California Sires Stakes Championship. Foaled on Mother's Day May 11th, 2006. Spirit is a Bay Trotting Colt by Thadrow out of our beautiful big mare K D Charm who was a winner of both the California Sires Stakes and California Gold Series.

Well, here we are on November 29th, 2008 in the California Sires Stakes Championship Race losing by only 3/4 of a length. That's pretty darn good for only his 3rd start. Here comes K D Amazin Spirit to take a 4th in the California Sires Stakes on May 9th 2009. A little bad luck (behind a breaker) earlier in the race caused him to have come from behind. Here we are with Spirit's first win. That's K D Nicol coming in a nice 2nd.

Well - we finally did it. On December 12th, 2010, we won the California Standardbred Sires Stakes Championship at Cal Expo, beating Credit Score by a neck in the mud. Check out the Press Release here. (We also made the Sacramento Bee)

This is Spirit cruising home in his first of 3 wins in April 2010. This win caused him to move up in class to the non-winners of Cal Bred 5. He also set a new life make of 2:00.0.

Here is Spirit's 2nd win in April 2010. Sorta suprised everyone as he had moved up in class. He set another life record of 1:59.3.

Well, here we are with our 3rd win in a row on the 24th of
April 2010. This time we were the favorite with odds of 6 to 5. Still, no problem winning by lengths in all 3 races.

On the 19th of November 2010, Spirit came up with a real big win as he made up about 16 lengths - all the way from last to win going away in the mud and rain. To watch the video, just click on the arrow. (a double click on the picture will give you a larger picture)

it has been quite a while since Spirit won one. (A combination of injuries and bad breaks) Here he gets his only 2011 win on the 15th of December at Cal Expo.

Looks like Keith is a pretty happy camper.
