Here is the little guy with his mother Speedy Starlet on the 2nd day

That's Tom Parris holding Speedy while Nicol checks everything out.

"OK mom - is that pretty good stuff?

Here is the young guy two years later in March 2008 cavorting in his
round pen. Quite a change -huh?

And a few months after that in June 2008 ---- He is really starting
to get in shape.
Another one on the same day. He was training down and getting
pretty close to being moved to Cal Expo for schooling on the
starting gate and qualification, then on to the Fall California
Sires Stakes. Here is a nice
slide show of the "boys" training in July 2008.

Both K D Nicol and K D Amazin Spirit were entered in the California
Sires Stakes Colt Trot on April 11th 2009. This was a non-betting
race with Tom Parris driving K D Nicol and Keith driving K D Amazin
Spirit. (Spirit is the 6 and Nicol is the 1) Check out the
slide show here or click on the photo to see the results. This
drive was the final drive that Tom needed to qualify for his
Provisional Drivers License. (Photos by Janet Parris)

Here comes K D Nicol in the Post Parade for the California Sires
Stakes for Trotting Colts and Geldings on May 9th, 2009. That is
Tom Parris driving. Nicol finished a very nice 3rd. (click

Here comes K D Nicol with his and Tom Parris's first win on April 16th, 2010.

Looks like a pretty happy group after the big win.

The following week, Tom and Nicol do it again with another win - a little closer this time. Click here for the story.

And the week after that, Tom and Nicol do it a third time in a row. (they seem to be getting into a rut - a nice one though)

We seem to be on a bit of a roll - here is Nicol's 4th win on the 21st of May 2010 with Keith in the sulky this time. He almost got beat, but was able to come back and finish about 3/4 of length in front.
We
are still at it with another nice win on the 5th of June 2010. He
just seems to like to be in front
Well,
this is getting to be sort of a habit - a nice one though. Here
Nicol wins going away on June 12th, 2010. The problem is that he
has to move up to a higher class and things get real tough.
In September, 2010 Nicol was featured in a United States Trotting
Association release.
