Hello! My name is Cosby and I came to Willey Farm as a foster. Early JanuaryCosby Now 2002 I was found by the side of a rural road somewhere near Lincoln, California. I had just been "dumped" and I was in really bad shape. The good person who found me turned me into Sacramento Dachshund Rescue and I was given to my mom to bring me back to health. It was slow going at times - my seborrhea took 8 months alone to completely clear up - but I'm in pretty good shape now. I do still get awfully confused at times though. Mom thinks I was used as a stud dog at some kind of puppy mill. I can't remember, but I know my life is much sweeter and more fun now! I've really enjoyed learning about cuddling and people food and treats and soft afghans and many other things Mom says every Dachsie should know about. I still have some health problems, so Mom and Dad say I can stay here forever!!! I'm about 10 years old and I'm classified as a "tweenie", weighing 15 pounds.

Mom, Dad, and I want to encourage everyone to support their local animalCosby on Arrival adoption agencies as much as possible. Life may have dealt some of us rescues a rotten hand but that doesn't mean we can't become wonderful companions too. Please give us a chance at a good life and consider animal rescue.

The dog has an enviable mind.  It remembers the nice things in life and quickly blots out the nasty.
